I am concerned about the possible damage that North Sulawesi's environment will suffer when MSM disposes waste from proposed mine operation on land and I seek the following pledges from MSM: (1) that it will ensure a comprehensive and independent Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) process takes place (2) that the dam it plans to build on land, for containment of its waste, will be completely resistant to seismic activity and (3) that any toxins from its mining process will not enter the North Sulawesi water table. Furthermore, that MSM will actively participate and contribute to the social development of North Sulawesi's community.
